Wisdom is more than knowledge. In our fourth step from Wilderness to Wisdom, we look at the difference between knowledge, wisdom, and revelation, and why so many of us confuse the three.
Knowledge is awareness. Wisdom is understanding. Revelation is God-revealed wisdom that results in proper application in our lives. Many people know the Bible but never move past knowledge, which is why quoting Scripture doesn’t automatically produce fruit. James 1:5 tells us to ask God for wisdom, and He gives generously. But once we receive the Holy Spirit, we’ve also already been given wisdom. The work isn’t only in asking. It’s in learning to walk in what’s already in us.
Godly wisdom brings peace and clarity. Worldly wisdom brings chaos. Knowing the difference changes everything.
