Step Six - Reading God's Word

Exploring how Scripture reveals God’s heart, strengthens faith, and anchors us in truth

Reading the Bible isn’t a chore or a checklist. In this step from Wilderness to Wisdom, we look at what it means to read God’s Word as our lifeline, not our obligation.

The Bible is alive. Hebrews 4:12 tells us it’s living and active. It’s also our constitution as Kingdom citizens. It doesn’t just teach us what we’re responsible for. It tells us what rights we have, what authority we’ve been given, and how to walk in the fullness of what it means to be a new creation in Christ. Most of us have been taught to approach it through religion instead of relationship, which is why so many struggle to be consistent.

There’s no template you have to follow. Some days you may read a verse, other days a book. The point isn’t the plan. The point is being led by the Holy Spirit, showing up honestly, and letting the Word do what it was designed to do.

God isn’t standing over you with a clipboard. Ten sincere minutes of seeking is worth more than an hour of checking a box.
